Strava, the popular fitness app, has revealed an exciting roadmap of new features set to be introduced by the end of 2024. These include the highly-anticipated Dark Mode, powered by artificial intelligence analytics, and enhanced safety features for cyclists and runners.Among the upcoming updates is the introduction of Dark Mode, a feature that users have been requesting for years. This new mode will not only give the app a fresh look but also improve the user experience. Strava plans to launch Dark Mode in the summer of 2024, expected around July or August, making it available to both free and premium subscribers.

Additionally, Strava will be incorporating artificial intelligence into its platform. Using machine learning technology, Strava aims to identify any irregular or impossible activities recorded on the platform to prevent cheating or inaccuracies.

Another exciting development is the introduction of AI-generated routes through challenging terrain and a feature called Athlete Intelligence. This feature will provide users with a summary of their achievements and fitness goals, offering personalized guidance based on data from millions of recorded activities.

Moreover, Strava will be enhancing the Clubs experience within the app, allowing users to create clubs, communicate with other members, and participate in club challenges.

For premium users, a new 'Family Plan' option will be available, enabling subscribers to share discounted membership with up to three other individuals. The Family Plan will be launched in select countries later this year and will be made accessible globally by the end of 2024.

Strava is also placing a renewed focus on safety, particularly for women engaging in sports and physical activities. The introduction of Night Heatmaps will display activities that occur between sundown and sunrise in high-traffic locations, while a Quick Edit feature will allow users to conceal sensitive data from public view.
