AT&T Outage Impacting Customers Nationwide

AT&T customers across the United States are once again facing downtime as a nationwide outage has disrupted service. The company has acknowledged the issue, stating that customers are unable to complete calls between carriers. Although calls between AT&T customers are still functional, some subscribers have reported complete disruptions in service. The outage has led to a surge in reports of problems, with major cities like New York City, Chicago, and Philadelphia being among the most affected areas. Additionally, Verizon customers have also experienced service issues due to the interoperability problem.

Despite the outage, AT&T has assured that 911 calls are still going through in most locations, with a few exceptions where alerts were mistakenly triggered. This incident comes on the heels of a previous major disruption in February that lasted nearly 12 hours. In a separate incident in March, AT&T confirmed a data breach that compromised sensitive information such as Social Security numbers.
