Nintendo Expands Switch Online Library with New Titles

Nintendo has recently introduced a new "mature" rated Nintendo 64 app for Switch Online users in the West. This release includes classic titles such as Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Rare's iconic Perfect Dark, now featuring online multiplayer. The new app is a separate download from the existing N64 games and provides a glimpse into the possibility of more mature-themed titles joining the Expansion Pack service in the future.

To access the latest N64 app on Switch Online, users must navigate to the NSO section of the Switch eShop. The addition of this app requires a subscription to the Expansion Pack tier in order to enjoy the included games. The recent expansion of the Nintendo Switch Online library aims to diversify the available titles and cater to a wider audience, including fans of mature-themed content.

In a significant announcement at the June 2024 Nintendo Direct event, Nintendo unveiled the addition of Perfect Dark and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Four Swords to the Switch Online collection. Perfect Dark introduces a new Mature 17+ category within the Expansion Pack, offering players a chance to experience Rare's classic title with updated features like online multiplayer. Additionally, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter joins the Mature 17+ pack, providing fans with another beloved N64 title to enjoy.
