NASA Flight Rescheduled

A University of Tennessee and Tennessee Tech alum, Butch Wilmore, is gearing up for a rescheduled flight to the International Space Station (ISS) after technical issues caused the initial delay. Wilmore, along with astronaut Suni Williams, returned to Kennedy Space Center on May 28 to prepare for the upcoming flight, now scheduled for June 2, June 5, or June 6.

First Crewed Boeing Starliner Flight

UTs College of Engineering announced that this flight will be the first crewed flight of the Boeing Starliner spacecraft. Wilmore and Williams will spend up to two weeks at the station, marking Wilmores third spaceflight. The mission will launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
