Virat Kohli has linked up with the India squad in New York on Friday for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, days after his team-mates arrived. The captain, who had a remarkable IPL season with 741 runs in 15 games, is unsure if he will take part in the warm-up match against Bangladesh on June 1 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. Despite missing three training sessions, Kohli will have three net sessions before the opener against Ireland on June 5.

It's not certain whether Kohli will feature in the warm-up game, but his presence adds strength to the team's batting lineup. The management and BCCI have previously granted him breaks for personal reasons, demonstrating their support for the skipper's well-being. The Indian team's preparation for the T20 World Cup is in full swing, with players like Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube, and Mohammed Siraj seen training rigorously ahead of the tournament.
