Costa Rica and Uruguay are set to face off in a friendly match as a part of their preparations for the upcoming 2024 Copa Amrica tournament. The Costa Ricans recently suffered a 3-1 defeat against Argentina and are now gearing up to take on Saint Kitts and Nevis and Grenada in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The Uruguayan squad, led by interim coach Diego Prez, will be composed of players from the local league. In addition to the friendly against Costa Rica, they are scheduled to play against Mexico before the Copa Amrica begins.
