Microsoft has confirmed that Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.

In a recent announcement on Xbox Wire, Microsoft revealed that fans can expect more details about the game during the Xbox Games Showcase event and the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Direct on June 9, 2024, at 10am PT. This includes a first look at the gameplay of this latest installment in the Black Ops series. The announcement coincided with the release of a live-action reveal trailer titled 'The Truth Lies', featuring world leaders like Bill Clinton and Margaret Thatcher. Black Ops 6 is rumored to be set during the Gulf War in the early '90s.

Microsoft's decision to release Black Ops 6 on Game Pass aligns with their overall strategy of bringing all Microsoft games, including those from Activision, directly to the subscription service. While this move could potentially impact sales of the game, Microsoft is counting on attracting new customers to Game Pass. The company is reportedly considering a price increase for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to support this strategy.
