SpaceX launches NROL-146 reconnaissance satellite constellation for NRO: analysis and predictions

The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) initiated the construction of a new satellite constellation by launching the NROL-146 mission from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. The undisclosed number of satellites was carried by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, marking the start of a significant initiative.

Following liftoff from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at 1 a.m. PDT, the Falcon 9 booster, identified as tail number B1071, successfully completed its 16th launch. This mission was crucial for the NRO, contributing to both its surveillance and communication capabilities.
