At the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, Kevin Costner proudly stood next to his son Hayes, who towers over his dad at just 15 years old. Both dressed in crisp white suits, the father-son duo attended the photocall for Horizon: An American Saga, where Hayes will be making his acting debut, playing a younger version of Kevin's character in this Western saga.

Kevin Costner, known for his directorial skills, brings back his talent behind the camera with Horizon, his first directorial project since the 2003 film Open Range. This new movie is not just a standalone film but the first part of a planned four-part series, showcasing the expansive and tumultuous times of pre- and post-Civil War America.

According to the synopsis, Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1 will cover the four years of the Civil War from 1861 to 1865, offering audiences an emotional journey through a country at war with itself, seen through the eyes of families, friends, and foes trying to understand what it truly means to be the United States of America.

Set to be released on June 28, Horizon stars a remarkable ensemble cast including Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, and more. Kevin Costner's vision for Horizon has been in the works for over 30 years, focusing on the Western genre's language and action.

Aside from his film projects, Kevin Costner is a devoted father to his seven children, emphasizing that he's just like any other dad when he's not working on a movie. Recently finalizing his divorce from Christine Baumgartner after nearly 19 years of marriage, Kevin remains committed to his family while balancing his career in the film industry.
