Yesterday evening , the Fresno State Bulldogs revealed a new all - black uniform that will be worn for a single game this season . The team announced that they will don this special uniform for the Fright Night game against rival San Jose State on October 26th , 2024 , which is the Saturday before Halloween.

 Unfortunately , the team did not release any still photos of the uniforms , but they did create a hype video that showcased the new look with quick cuts and poor lighting . The helmet , jersey , and pants are all black , with a matte finish on the helmet . The Bulldogs script in red metallic , outlined in white , is featured on the helmet , along with the word Dogs on the front bumper . 

The back of the helmet displays various decals and the words FRESNO STATE . The green decal in the shape of a V symbolizes Californias Central Valley , specifically the San Joaquin Valley , from which the team draws its support . The jersey bears the FRESNO STATE wordmark in block red letters , with red front numbers outlined in white . The Mountain West Conference Patch , makers mark , and the green / red V logo can also be found on the front of the jersey.

 The rear of the jersey features the players NOB in thin red letters , along with larger numbers in the same style as the front . The black pants are stripeless and feature the Bulldog logo on the right hip . 

This new all - black uniform is a departure from Fresno States traditional red and blue colors , with the addition of green for the V logo . While some may not be fans of the BFBS ( black for black 's sake ) trend in uniforms , this one - off look is sure to create excitement among players , recruits , and fans alike .
