Exploring the Proexae Team 's Visit to Campus Caxias

A team from the Pr - Reitoria de Extenso e Assuntos Estudantis recently visited Campus Caxias as part of the Reitoria Itinerante program . Led by Professor Camila Magalhes , the Pr - Reitora Adjunta of Proexae , the team aimed to engage with students and professors , addressing queries about assistance programs for event participation , extension scholarships , and the initiative to bridge the gap between the Campus de So Lus and those on the continent.

The Uema offers six types of assistance , including Permanncia , Alimentao , Moradia , Creche , ECD , and Participao em Eventos , each with specific prerequisites . This year saw a total of 3,497 applications , with selection based on a completed Cadnico form by students , requiring documentation to verify the indicated vulnerabilities.

Prof. Dr. Thiago Anchieta de Melo , the Coordinator of Extension at Proexae , expressed pleasure in sharing the university 's extension initiatives with the Caxias community . He emphasized the importance of extension projects identifying community needs , being interdisciplinary , associated with teaching and research , impacting student development , and fostering social change.

The Uema offers various programs , such as JOEX , Acolher , PIBEX , Voluntary Extension Program , Advanced Program for Sustainability , and Prticas em Extenso Journal.

Empowering Student Organizations at Uema

Poliana Cardoso , the Coordinator of Extracurricular Affairs , highlighted the university 's collaboration with student organizations like DCE , academic leagues , and Junior Companies . The ongoing update of Academic Centers and the establishment of Junior Companies at Uema serve as educational platforms for students to gain practical experience and engage in projects . The university currently hosts 11 Junior Companies involving 126 students and 40 academic leagues with 507 participants.

The emphasis remains on student involvement and development , particularly through institutionalized Junior Companies that offer certification and skill - building opportunities.

Edite Sampaio , the Interiorization Advisor of Proexae , introduced the Unabi Program , designed to engage seniors in university programs through open initiatives . The Vice - Rector , Paulo Catunda , emphasized the pivotal role of Proexae in supporting student aspirations and enhancing campus potential . The team conducted informative sessions and workshops on scholarships , Junior Company creation , and extension projects during their visit to Campus Caxias.
