Alabama Quarterback Jalen Milroe Hosts Youth Football Camp

More than 600 youngsters attended a football camp at Westminster Christian Academy in Huntsville featuring Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe . The Crimson Tide redshirt junior was the main attraction of the event conducted by FlexWork Sports Management . The camp catered to participants from age 6 - 16 and included a team photo with Milroe , a camp T - shirt , and items from event sponsors.

 So many people before me paved the way and I remember growing up and going to camps myself , Milroe said . It was one of my goals to host a camp one day so when the opportunity presented itself , I wanted to do so .

The second - team All - SEC quarterback shared his childhood memories of attending a camp by University of Texas star quarterback Vince Young . Camper Samuel Lay , 11 , expressed his excitement about interacting with Milroe and even got to catch a pass from him . The camp ran from 3 p.m. until almost 7:30 , with Milroe scheduled to attend camps in Hoover on Saturday and Mobile on Sunday.

Alabama starting quarterback Jalen Milroe hosted his second youth football camp of the weekend at Hoover High School , with over 400 campers in attendance . Participants left with autographs and a photo with the star quarterback . Milroe expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to host the camps and interact with his fans , emphasizing the importance of preparation and teamwork in the offseason schedule for Alabama.

 We separate into 4 off - seasons . It started off with No . 1 spring ball , then transitioning into Summer 1 then Summer 2 and then branching off and going into fall camp so were almost there when its time to kick off but what I can truly say is its the offseason stuff whether its the work in the dark that 's going to factor into the light when it comes to playing on Saturdays so its all about preparation and getting together with the guys with communications and also physical reps . 

Milroe 's camp at Hoover High School was part of a series of stops he made over the weekend , with his first camp in Huntsville on Friday and the third planned for Mobile on Sunday . Overall , the camps provided a platform for young football enthusiasts to interact with the Alabama quarterback and learn from his experiences , fostering a love for the sport and inspiring future generations of athletes.
