Nancy A. Cordts , aged 83 , who resided in both Butler and Punta Gorda , Fla. , sadly passed away on Thursday , July 11 , 2024 . She was born in Butler on July 13 , 1940 , to her late parents , Waldo and Grace ( Smith ) Campbell . Nancy graduated from Butler Senior High School in 1957 and went on to become the owner of Campbell Notary Services for more than 30 years . She was actively involved in various dance clubs , including Steel Valley Squares , Rambling Squares , and the Charlotte County Jazz Society . Nancy had a variety of hobbies , such as playing the piano , roller skating , biking , and camping . She also had a passion for baking cookies , dancing to big band and jazz music , and making hard tack candy . Nancy was a loving mother to David ( Jeannie ) Harkins , Sharon ( Kenneth ) McNaughton , Timothy ( Mandy ) Harkins , and Jeffery ( Karen ) Harkins . She was also a proud grandmother to Lacey Ann McGarrity , Timothy J. Harkins , and Zachary Harkins , as well as a great - grandmother to Jane McGarrity . Sadly , Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter - in - law , Valerie Harkins , and her sister , Carol Browne . She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Amedisys Hospice , particularly Allison and Amy , whom she referred to as her special angels.
