Sanctuary is calling all Nephalem to join the Season 32 : Ethereal Memory , starting on July 12th . This season brings back the Ethereal Memory theme from Season 24 , offering players a chance to harness its power once again.
The seasonal journey in Season 32 revolves around the theme of Ethereal items from a bygone era resurfacing in Sanctuary . These ethereal memories will grant players unimaginable power , but they must act quickly as this power is fleeting and will soon disappear.
In Season 32 , players will encounter 21 iconic weapons from Diablo II in the form of Ethereal items . These rare and powerful items will roll a set of affixes , a random Class Weapon Legendary Power , and a random Class Passive Power for players to utilize in their journey.
Ethereals are unique in that they are account - bound and can only be acquired by defeating monsters , opening chests , or destroying objects in the game . Players do not need to be at Level 70 for Ethereals to drop , and these items can not be obtained through Kanai 's Cube or Kadala.
To add to the challenge , players can only equip one Ethereal at a time , and these items come with fixed affixes that do not stack with powers from Kanai 's Cube , items , or skills . Collecting all 21 Ethereals during the season will reward players with the Feat of Strength , Ethereal Recollection.
Season 32 introduces a mix of new and returning cosmetic rewards for players to earn throughout their seasonal journey . From portrait frames to pets and wings , there are plenty of rewards to strive for in Season 32.
Players who complete the Conqueror tier in the Season Journey will earn additional stash tabs , up to a maximum of 5 . The Conqueror tier also features a series of challenges such as finishing a level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within 5 minutes and leveling three Legendary Gems to level 55.
For those looking for additional challenges , Seasonal Conquests offer a variety of tasks to test players ' skills . From defeating bosses at a specific level and difficulty within a time limit to mastering various Class Sets , there is something for every type of player in Season 32.
Haedrig 's Gift makes a return in Season 32 , offering players a chance to earn Class Sets by completing certain chapters in the Season Journey . Each gift contains pieces from one of the Class Sets , with players able to unlock one set per season across Hardcore and Non - Hardcore modes.
