Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle pass has introduced a new bonus skin, Magneto, to the popular Battle royale game. This Marvel character became unlockable on Tuesday, July 2, through an exclusive questline available until the end of the season. In addition to the skin, Epic Games also released Magneto's Mythic item and some map changes.
To unlock Magneto, players need to own the current Fortnite Battle Pass and complete new quests by August 16 when the season is set to end. Along with the skin, players can also unlock additional cosmetics, including a new style for Magneto, through the questline.
The latest Fortnite update also brought a new Mythic item, Magnetos Mythic Gauntlets, which can be obtained by opening supply drops and chests. However, this Mythic item is not available in competitive modes. Furthermore, the Metallica collaboration has ended in Fortnite Battle Royale, removing the Ride the Lightning item from the game.
Players can now explore the newly released X-Men Bunker on the island, hinting at a potential upcoming Wolverine skin. The bunker can be found south of Grand Glacier. Epic Games is currently on a summer break, with no major updates planned for the next three weeks. However, a Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration is scheduled for July 19, with the possibility of a smaller content update in the meantime.
With the arrival of Magneto in Fortnite, players can unlock the Wastelander Magneto Style and a skin based on his original comic book appearance. This secret battle pass skin offers players the chance to add the X-Men character to their collection, along with new cosmetic items such as the Magnetic Steps Glider and Magnetized Scrap Pickaxe.
To unlock the Magneto Fortnite Skin, players need to own the Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Pass and complete a series of quests by visiting the Weapon X Lab and collecting Magneto Power. Completing both Page One and Page Two Magneto Quests will unlock the original comic book style Magneto as an alternate skin.
Players must complete various quests to unlock Magneto's cosmetic items, including visiting the Weapon X Lab, collecting Magneto Power, and hitting vehicles using Magneto Power. Additionally, completing quests such as eliminating opponents, blocking hits, and dealing damage from higher locations will unlock different cosmetic items like emotes, gliders, and back bling.
The Rift Beacons are essential for completing the Page 2 quests, and players must configure three of them to progress further. By completing all quests, players can unlock the Magneto Skin and Cape Back Bling, adding this iconic Marvel character to their Fortnite collection.
