Krishna Kumar Yadav, the postmaster general of the Varanasi and Prayagraj region, highlighted the pivotal role of postal workers in bridging the gap between the government and the common people by providing various essential services. In the Varanasi region alone, more than two thousand postmen are delivering an average of 8.5 lakh speed post & registered letters and 15 lakh ordinary letters every month.

Additionally, postmen are now functioning as mobile ATMs in rural areas, providing services like DBT, Jan Suraksha schemes, Aadhaar enrollment, and more.

He highlighted the importance of postal workers in delivering essential items like election mail, letters, care packages, prescriptions, and more.

As families prepare to celebrate the July 4 holiday in municipal parks, park keepers are hoping their demands for fair treatment and support are met.
