Fortnite players are in for a treat as the popular battle royale game teams up with Metallica for a special event. The collaboration will include band members, iconic songs like Enter Sandman and Fuel, as well as a new mode centered around battling using music. The first part of this collaboration kicks off on June 13 with the Fortnite Festival - Season 4, introducing six new Metallica songs for players to enjoy.
Epic Games has introduced a new mode called The Battle Stage as part of the Metallica-themed Festival season. In this mode, 16 players will compete by playing through musical tracks in a concert-style battle. The better players perform, the more attacks they can unlock to disrupt their opponents. The mode promises to be exciting and will continue even after Metallica's involvement ends in August.
Fortnite's recent update also allows players to use their owned Jam Tracks as lobby music, adding a personalized touch to the gaming experience. Furthermore, Metallica-themed Rocket Racing tracks, cars, and Lego versions of the band members will be available in the game, solidifying the band's presence in Fortnite.
Fortnite enthusiasts can look forward to a virtual Metallica concert taking place on June 22 and June 23 within the game. Similar to previous in-game concerts, the Metallica event will occur multiple times over the two-day period, offering players an immersive musical experience. Fans of Metallica and Fortnite alike will have the opportunity to enjoy the band's presence in the game until August 16, after which most of the Metallica content will be removed.
