Tanya Kach's Traumatic Experience and Healing Journey

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Tanya Kach, a Pittsburgh-area girl, was held captive for a decade after going missing in 1996 from McKeesport. Her story, which garnered national attention, is now the focus of a new film set to premiere this weekend. Despite the unimaginable horrors she endured during her captivity, Kach is using her experience to raise awareness and make a positive impact by sharing her story.

Tanya's Dedication to Advocacy and Hope

After escaping from her captor, Thomas Hose, who had kept her confined and subjected her to years of abuse, Kach found solace in faith and resilience. She is determined to turn her harrowing ordeal into a message of hope and healing for others who may be experiencing similar situations. Kach's courage and strength have inspired many, including fellow survivor Elizabeth Smart, who produced the film depicting Kach's story.
